FAQ
Why should I choose a licensed mental health counselor?
A licensed mental health counselor is fully trained, vetted, and held to a stringent professional standard—concentrating on tools necessary to safely work with clients in the counseling process.
How long and often will I have to come to therapy?
Therapy is different for everyone. If you are coming for a specific or timely issue, you may require only 6-8 sessions. If your problems are more complex, longer-term therapy may be necessary. In general, weekly therapy continues for most of my clients from six sessions to six months. Every other week sessions are often useful for a short period of time after intense work is completed, rather than a sudden halt.
What types of payment does Beth accept?
Beth Alhanti accepts private pay and insurance clients. She is in-network with all Cigna, United, and Aetna programs that cover mental health. A super-bill and assistance obtaining out-of-network benefits is available.
Will sessions be conducted in-person or online?
Clients have the choice of conducting their sessions online, in-person, or a mix of both.
How do I schedule an appointment?
Beth Alhanti schedules her own appointments. Beth feels it is important to personally talk with each potential new client, understand their needs and set initial (and subsequent) appointments. To book a session, call 954-260-9056.
